Supercell Storm Over Tekirdağ Plains at Dusk
by Nina Rogers
A massive supercell thunderstorm dominates the midsummer sky above the open plains near Tekirdağ, its rotating wall cloud forming a dark, heavy ceiling. Below, the storm-bright plain stretches flat and empty, covered in a thin layer of light fog that softens the horizon. Distant town lights begin to glow along the edge of the visible world, casting a warm, amber reflection against the low-hanging mist. The sky transitions from deep bruised purple at the top to a hazy, luminous grey near the ground. The storm structure stands in sharp contrast to the fading natural light, its base touching the foggy earth while the upper reaches remain sharp and defined against the twilight. The glowing streetlamps of the nearby settlement create a soft, scattered path of light that meets the darkening storm front.
