Dry Ice Fog Rolling Over Table Edge in Winter

Thick white vapor spills over the rim of a wooden table, pooling low against the frozen ground near Yellowknife. The fog moves in heavy, slow waves, obscuring the lower legs of the table and creeping across the snow-dusted earth. Above, a flat gray sky presses down, diffusing the late afternoon light into a soft, uniform glow that lacks distinct shadows. The vapor churns with a dense, liquid-like motion. Behind the table, distant tree lines stand stark and dark against the overcast horizon. The cold is visible in the way the fog hugs the surface, refusing to rise, while the rough texture of the table edge contrasts with the smooth, billowing clouds drifting into the open space. A sharp shadow falls across the snow beside the table leg.
