Copper Light Over Viaduct Cúa Kilns

by Adrian Patrick

Copper-toned light wraps the curved concrete viaduct rising above the moving water in Cúa. Massive brick kilns cluster along the riverbank, their reddish-brown surfaces against the grey arches. Thick ground fog pools in the low valleys, obscuring the water's edge while the engineered structure stands in sharp, forceful clarity against the soft haze. Rainy season moisture coats the brickwork, darkening the texture and reflecting the fading horizon glow. The low angle emphasizes the sheer scale of the arches as they sweep through the cypress trees. One shadow from a support pillar stretches across the wet, rippling surface below.
