Copper-toned light washes over a weathered wooden stilt house perched above the glassy surface of a tropical lagoon in Queensland. Thick mist rests on the water, softening the edges of the stilts and creating a seamless mirror effect below. The structure features a broad overhanging roof and open slat walls, revealing the dark timber grain against the glowing sky. Shadows lengthen across the deck as night approaches, while the still water shows the inverted silhouette of the house with perfect clarity. A small wooden ladder hangs from the side, its reflection breaking only slightly in the calm depths. The stillness of the water anchors the composition, showing the vertical rhythm of the pilings rising from the lagoon.
