Rich amber light floods the underside of a massive steel truss bridge spanning the river in Rio Grande do Sul. The intricate lattice of rusted iron beams creates a geometric cage against the darkening sky. Below, the water surface shimmers with a fine mist and spray that catches the low sun, turning the air into a hazy golden veil. Hard, sharp shadows from the truss members slice across the wet concrete abutments and the riverbank, creating a stark contrast between light and dark. The dry season leaves the surrounding vegetation sparse and brown, clinging to the muddy banks. The perspective looks upward from the water's edge, showing the sheer scale and engineered force of the structure against the soft, diffused glow of the setting sun.
