Copper Ghosts in Ivy Ruins Near Irkutsk

Deep shadows swallow the foreground of an abandoned brewery fermenting room beside ivy-draped masonry near Irkutsk. Copper tanks, now stripped of luster, stand as hollow ghosts against the dark stone. Dust coats every surface, settling in thick layers on the metal ribs and the dry, brittle vines that rest on the walls. The dry season has stripped the air of moisture, leaving the copper with a matte, oxidized finish. A sharp rim of evening light cuts across the upper right edge, highlighting the rough texture of the stone and the jagged edges of the decaying metal. The light catches a single rust flake peeling from a tank seam, revealing the grey metal beneath.
