Corroded Tanks at Sunset Near Brahmanbaria
by David Hood
Rust-colored streaks run down the curved surfaces of massive industrial tanks, their paint peeling to reveal layers of orange corrosion beneath a dull green patina. Golden hour light spills across the foreground, illuminating the rough texture of oxidized metal and the soft, creeping vines that have taken root at the base of the structures. A thin layer of fog hangs low, blurring the distant treeline and creating a hazy separation between the foreground machinery and the receding landscape. The sky above glows with warm amber tones, casting long, soft shadows that stretch across the overgrown grass. Vines climb the metal supports, their leaves catching the fading sunlight. A jagged edge of rusted iron reflects the dying light against the soft gray fog.
