Green Copper Stills Blue Hour Gabiadji

Thick verdigris crusts the curved copper pot stills standing on the rough concrete factory floor. Flat blue daylight from the heavy overcast sky meets the warm orange wash of sodium work lamps mounted high on the walls. The oxidized metal shows deep textures of green and brown against the smooth, dark grey concrete beneath. Low angle framing places the massive vessels against the grey clouds visible through high windows. Dust rests on the floor, and a bolt head on the nearest still base reflects the sodium light. The green oxidation creates a rough, crusty surface along the curved metal.
