Butterflyfish Feeding on Coral Polyps

Cool season light streams through a north-facing window, casting flat, even illumination across a rain-beaded metal surface. Two butterflyfish hover in mid-air, their scales shimmering with jewel-like precision against the industrial backdrop. Water droplets rest on the brushed steel, distorting the view of the coral polyps beneath the fish. The minimalist composition isolates the marine life, removing all background clutter. Sharp shadows fall across the metal, showing the texture of the wet surface. The fish's orange and white stripes stand out vividly against the cool gray tones of the metal and the muted greens of the coral. One droplet rolls down the edge of the metal sheet, catching the light.
