African Fish Eagle Perched on Dead Tree
Thick white mist clings low over the reed bed, obscuring the water line while a jagged dead tree rises sharply from the fog. High above the ground, an African fish eagle grips the rough, gray bark of a dead branch. The bird's white head and chest glow intensely under the harsh midday sun that pierces through the haze. Its yellow feet clamp tightly onto the weathered wood, and its hooked beak points upward. Below, the reeds stand as soft green and brown vertical lines fading into the white void.
