Abandoned Hotel Staircase Velvet Carpet Ruins

Pale walls reflect broad late morning skylight through a shattered ceiling, illuminating a central staircase where once-grand velvet carpet has rotted into loose, tangled threads. Broken plaster hangs in jagged shards from the arches, casting soft shadows across the dusty floor. Nature creeps in from the edges, with thin green shoots pushing through cracks in the masonry and small leaves scattered among the debris. The carpet fibers, once deep red or purple, now appear faded and grey, clinging to the wooden steps in ragged patches. Muted reflections of the broken ceiling and hanging dust particles shimmer on the smooth, polished floor sections near the base of the stairs. One exposed wooden step near the bottom corner reveals the structural decay beneath the textile remnants.
