Golden firelight from the setting sun spills across a rugged mountain pass beneath Leh, illuminating a shepherd guiding a dense flock of sheep along a narrow ridge. The early winter air hangs heavy, whipping colorful prayer flags into sharp, rhythmic tension against the pale sky. The shepherd wears a heavy, textured wool coat, shoulders hunched slightly against the wind, while the sheep cluster tightly together, their thick winter coats catching the warm glow. Shadows stretch long and dark across the scree-covered ground, against the bright orange light hitting the animals' backs. In the foreground, loose gravel shifts under the animals' hooves, and the edge of a prayer flag tatters slightly in the gale, framing the intimate movement of the group against the vast, silent valley below.
