Yak Caravan Silhouette Below Lhasa Prayer Flags

Honeyed evening light bathes a high wind-cut ridge below Lhasa, turning a line of yaks and their handlers into stark black silhouettes against the sky. Heavy, low-hanging clouds press down on the winter landscape, where dead grass and bare rock define the terrain. Above the caravan, rows of prayer flags snap in the wind, their colors muted by the distance. The impossible element anchors the scene: thick plumes of smoke or steam do not rise but flow downward like heavy liquid, draping over the yaks' backs and pooling on the snowy ground. This dark, viscous fluid moves with the weight of water, defying gravity while the animals step forward in solemn reverence. at the edge shows the smoke pooling around the yaks' hooves, reflecting the fading gold light.
