Sunset firelight bathes a rocky saddle in the Thimphu valley, casting long shadows across the rugged terrain. Below, a barrier reef stretches through the mountain valley, its structure visible from the high altitude. Suspended particles glitter in the water column, catching the warm glow of the setting sun. The dead of winter is evident in the bare, gray rocks and the stillness of the landscape. The framing from behind the subject reveals the depth of the valley and the intricate patterns of the reef. Drifting weightless quiet fills the air, with the light creating a serene and almost ethereal atmosphere.
