Badlands Striped Earth Two Suns Thimphu Shoreline
Steel-blue ambient light washes over a rugged badlands formation where layers of striped earth rise in rhythmic bands of ochre, rust, and grey. From a birds eye view, the wave-cut shoreline curves along the base of these eroded cliffs, meeting a calm water surface that mirrors the low-hanging clouds. A second sun sits low in the background sky, casting a second set of sharp, believable highlights across the ridges and deepening the shadows between the strata. Early spring vegetation clings sparsely to the crevices, appearing as faint green patches against the mineral textures. The dual light sources create a complex interplay of cool shadows and warm glows on the undulating ground, showing the geological folds. A thin strip of dark water reflects the twin orbs perfectly along the shoreline edge.
