Windswept Hokkaido Prairie Under Storm Clouds

Steel-grey storm clouds press low over a windswept prairie in Hokkaido as the sun dips toward the horizon. The light strikes from behind, turning the tall grasses into jagged black silhouettes against a bruised sky. Steady rain falls in diagonal sheets, blurring the distant horizon line. The ground appears dark and saturated, reflecting the dim, diffused glow. One patch of late spring vegetation stands resilient against the gale, its blades bent sharply by the wind. The scene is defined by the sharp contrast between the dark earth and the bright, churning sky, with at the edge being the wet sheen on the grass tips catching the last rays of light.
