Storm Clouds Over Foggy Alabama Prairie

Steel-blue ambient light saturates the landscape as a dense wall of dark storm clouds advances across an early winter prairie. Low marine fog rests on the flat ground, blurring the horizon where the grey sky meets the dormant grasses. Tiny points of warm city light begin to glow in the distance, their soft halos diffused by the steady rain falling in fine, vertical streaks. The waterlogged earth reflects the heavy sky, creating a seamless transition between ground and atmosphere. From above, the texture of the wet fields appears dark and heavy, against the lighter, misty patches of fog drifting through the low-lying vegetation.
