Wind Farm Met Mast at Canal Lock Before Sunrise

Soft, gray overcast light floods the flat grass field beside a canal lock near Bordeaux. A tall, steel lattice met mast stands rigid in the foreground, its bolted joints and wire sensors catching the pale morning glow. Beyond the mast, three wind turbines rise into the low-hanging fog, their white blades blending into the misty sky. The canal water reflects the dull light, bordered by concrete lock walls that recede into the distance. Converging lines of the lock gates and grassy banks guide toward a vanishing point where the turbines fade. Early autumn leaves lie scattered on the flattened ground, their muted browns against the cool steel grays. at the edge is a single bolt head on the mast base, gleaming slightly against the rough concrete pad.
