Predawn Wind Farm Met Mast Northern Ireland in beneath transmission towers in Northern Ireland

Predawn Wind Farm Met Mast Northern Ireland

by Brad Hall

Thick fog rests on the flattened grass, swallowing the ground where a steel met mast rises vertically. The metal structure stands stark against the predawn darkness, illuminated by the harsh, white glow of maintenance floodlights mounted on nearby towers. Above, red warning beacons pulse rhythmically, casting faint red reflections on the mist. Transmission towers loom in the background, their lattice steel fading into the gray haze. The grass appears matted and damp under the artificial light. One cable runs along the base of the mast, disappearing into the shadowed turf.
