Waterspout over San Francisco Bay Sea Haze

Tropical bright light illuminates a narrow, twisting column of spray connecting the churning ocean surface to a dark, fast-moving cloud band overhead. The waterspout stands stark against the pale blue sky, its texture a chaotic mix of white foam and mist. Below, the sea stretches toward a horizon thick with sea haze, softening the distant outline of Hayes Valley. The composition remains minimalist, isolating the weather phenomenon in the center of the frame. Dark gray cloud shadows stretch across the water's surface, against the sunlit spray. A fine mist rests on the base where the column meets the waves, dissolving into the surrounding ocean. The rigid verticality of the spout anchors the otherwise fluid movement of the water and clouds.
