Thailand Dam Spillway Ferry Ramp Low Tide

Concrete ramp slopes steeply down toward exposed mudflats where the water has retreated. Massive steel pilings rise from the silt, their surfaces coated in dark mineral stains and patches of green algae. Overcast clouds hang low, casting a flat, even light that eliminates harsh shadows across the gray infrastructure. The spillway channel stretches into the distance, framed by the converging lines of the ramp edges and vertical posts. Cool season air settles over the damp earth, visible as a sheen on the wet concrete. Rust streaks run vertically down the metal supports, against the pale, muddy ground. at the edge is a thin line of water pooling at the base of the nearest piling.
