Alaskan Ferry Ramp Golden Hour Low Tide

Rust-orange firelight from the setting sun strikes the heavy steel ramp of an Alaskan ferry terminal, illuminating the cold gray concrete pilings below. The water has receded significantly at low tide, exposing a muddy bank scattered with melting ice chunks and early spring slush. Overcast clouds hang low and heavy, diffusing the sky into a soft, gray canvas that contrasts with the warm glow on the metal structure. The ramp slopes steeply down toward the water, its surface showing deep grooves and signs of industrial wear. Heavy steel cables stretch diagonally across the frame, anchoring the system against the dam spillway. One rusted bolt near the base of a piling catches the fading light, highlighting the texture of oxidized metal against the wet, dark mud.
