Pale, diffused light falls through heavy overcast skies, illuminating a steel and concrete viaduct that spans a black tidal channel. A weathered counterweight house rests beneath the structure, its gray metal surfaces marked by vertical rust streaks running down the walls. The dark water below remains still, reflecting the muted tones of the gray sky and the heavy infrastructure above. Converging lines from the bridge supports stretch toward a distant vanishing point where the channel meets the horizon. Damp patches on the paint signal the turn of seasons, while the sheer scale of the machinery defines the space beside the black water. at the edge is a jagged line of rust cutting across the lower corner of the housing.
