Striped Hyena Silhouette in Salt Marsh Dawn

Pale morning light spills across the flat expanse of a Kingston salt marsh, illuminating a low horizon haze where the sun has just risen. A striped hyena moves in profile, its dark form sharply silhouetted against the brightening sky. The animal's distinctive black and white stripes are visible only as tonal variations along its flank and legs. Behind the creature, a series of deep indentations mark the muddy ground, showing the path it has already traversed across the wet terrain. The ground glistens slightly, reflecting the soft, warm glow of the early sun. Tall, dry grasses bend at the edges of the frame, their pale stalks standing rigid against the open sky. at the edge is the sharp contrast between the dark, wet mud of the trail and the bright, hazy light filling the background.
