Tilting Fire Tower Dawn Light Ruins in among roofless stone chambers near Oran

Tilting Fire Tower Dawn Light Ruins

by Joe Cunningham

Cold silver dawn light spills across the jagged stone chambers of an abandoned complex near Oran, illuminating the skeletal remains of a fire tower. The structure leans sharply east, its rusted metal observation cabin hanging precariously above the roofless masonry. Thin fog rests on the ground, softening the edges of the crumbling walls and drifting between the broken archways. The sky above holds a pale, milky hue, casting long, faint shadows that stretch across the uneven desert floor. Weathered beams and peeling paint mark the decay, while the surrounding stone ruins stand silent under the early summer sky. One shard of broken glass on the tower's floor catches the first ray of sun, glinting against the grey metal.
