Sixgill Shark in Lisbon Kelp Canyon

Soft overcast light falls through exceptionally clear water, illuminating a sixgill shark as it glides horizontally through a dense forest of kelp fronds. The dark gray skin of the shark contrasts with the deep olive-green stalks that sway gently in the slow-moving current. Tall kelp blades rise from the sandy canyon floor, their tops nearly touching the rippled surface above. The water remains remarkably still, creating a blue-tinted void around the creature. Small particles of silt drift lazily in the diffuse light, while the kelp fronds cast faint, shifting shadows across the shark's broad back. One frond curves slightly against the dark flank of the fish near the tail.
