Bright midday light reflects off the Caribbean water, turning the air into a shimmering haze of sea spray. A tabby cat stands silhouetted on a rugged, wind-scoured ridge, its dark fur merging with the intense backlight. The animal remains perfectly still, a shape of patient predatory intent against the blinding glare. Fine droplets of water hang suspended in the air, catching the light like scattered diamonds around the cat's alert ears. The ground beneath paws is rough, dry earth mixed with salt-crusted stones, hinting at the turn of seasons where the heat is already heavy. The cat's outline is sharp, defined by the water's reflection rather than surface detail, creating a stark contrast between the dark form and the brilliant, shimmering background. One ray of light cuts through the mist just behind the tail.
