Fishing Cat with Catch on Wind Scoured Ridge

Indigo twilight washes the wind-scoured ridge near Irbid in late summer mist. A fishing cat stands in deep shadow, its fur textured by the damp air. A thin rim light traces the curve of its spine and the tip of its tail, separating it from the darkening horizon. The cat holds a small silver fish in its jaws, the scales catching faint glints of the fading sky. Thick mist obscures the ground, blurring the boundary between the animal and the ridge. Shallow depth of field softens the distant landscape into a wash of gray-blue tones. The cat's eyes remain fixed forward, reflecting the dim light. The fish's silver belly contrasts sharply with the dark, wet fur of the predator's chest. One droplet of water rests on the tip of the cat's ear.
