Signal Gantry Dawn at Lilongwe River Mouth

Steel lattice structures rise steeply from the muddy ground, their dark bolts and cross-bracing silhouetted against a pale, hazy horizon. The low sun bleeds orange and soft gray through the morning mist, illuminating dust particles swirling in the wind that whips across the river mouth. Thick concrete foundations anchor the massive gantry near the water's edge, where ripples disturb the dark surface. Transmission towers loom in the background, their legs disappearing into the low-lying fog. The metal surfaces reflect the dim light, showing patches of rust and weathered paint. A thin cable stretches across the frame, vibrating slightly in the breeze. at the edge is a puddle on the dirt path reflecting the jagged lines of the gantry legs.
