Mist and Soot on Signal Gantry at Dusk

Copper-toned light washes the steel structure of a signal gantry, highlighting thick layers of wet diesel soot that coat the bolts and crossbeams. Below, ground fog pools in the hollows of the concrete foundation, obscuring the lower supports while reflecting the sunset glow. The structure stretches into the distance, its converging lines drawing toward a vanishing point beneath massive transmission towers. Water droplets rest on the rusted metal, catching the fading light and showing the rough, oily texture of the industrial hardware. The scene balances the weight of the infrastructure with the soft, low-hanging mist of early summer.
