Belize Transmission Corridor Dawn Fog in beneath transmission towers in Belize

Belize Transmission Corridor Dawn Fog

by Vernon Chavez

Pale gray concrete channels stretch into the distance beneath towering steel transmission structures. Low dawn light skims the rough, weathered edges of the infrastructure, highlighting patches of rust and moss. Thick fog rolls across the dry, dusty ground, softening the base of the metal lattice while leaving the upper framework sharp against the pale sky. The perspective pulls the eye along the straight lines of the corridor, showing the scale of the civic installation. Small puddles reflect the muted morning sky, and sparse tropical grasses poke through cracks in the pavement. A shadow from a support beam falls across the concrete, marking the precise angle of the rising sun.
