Construction Fencing at Dawn in Bulgarian Autumn Rain

Cold silver dawn light washes over a row of temporary metal fencing panels standing beside the skeletal frame of a building under construction in Bulgaria. Early autumn mist hangs low, turning the air into a damp haze that softens the distant horizon. Fine rain beads on the galvanized steel mesh, catching the pale morning glow. The ground is churned mud, slick with water and scattered with loose gravel. Converging lines of the fence rails draw toward a vanishing point where the concrete foundation meets the grey sky. Rust spots mar the lower sections of the posts, against the wet, reflective surfaces above. One puddle near the foreground reflects the pale, overcast sky and the dark vertical bars of the fence.
