Radiotelescope Cabin Window Sunrise Reflection Dresden
by Harley Kent
Pale morning light breaks across a heavy, gray overcast sky, catching the edge of a small observation cabin window perched on a jagged sandstone outcrop in Dresden. The glass surface acts as a mirror, superimposing the faint, rising sun over the dark silhouette of the radio dish array below. Inside the shadowed interior, the window frame is worn and metallic, against the smooth, cool reflection. Outside, the rocky terrain is rough and textured, showing layers of geological strata in muted browns and grays. A thin line of rim light traces the cabin's corner, separating the dark structure from the brightening horizon. The reflection shows the curved dish segments stretching into the distance, their metallic surfaces dull against the soft dawn glow. A droplet of condensation rests on the lower right corner of the pane, distorting the view of the dish field slightly.
