Amazon Observatory Dawn Reflection Radiotelescope Dish

Misty gray light falls through humid air surrounding a small control cabin window perched beside a massive observatory dome. Inside the glass, the faint orange glow of sunrise mirrors the curved metal dish field stretching into the distance. Vertical rain streaks blur the reflection slightly, softening the sharp lines of the white dish segments against the deep green canopy of the Amazon rainforest. Red and green indicator lights glow steadily on the exterior metal housings, casting small pools of color on the wet, dark pavement. Converging lines of the telescope support structure guide toward a distant vanishing point where the horizon meets the low-hanging clouds. A droplet of water slides slowly down the lower corner of the window pane.
