Dawn Rim Light in Jeddah Canyon Slot

Deep shadow fills the narrow canyon walls near Jeddah, where the midsummer dawn casts a sharp rim of pale gold along the upper edges of the sandstone. Dramatic clouds gather above the fissure, their dark undersides against the brightening sky visible at the canyon's mouth. The rock surface displays rough, eroded textures in shades of ochre and burnt sienna, absorbing the low light while catching the first rays on its highest points. One beam of light pierces the gloom, illuminating floating dust particles against the dark interior. The composition places the illuminated rim in the upper third, leaving the deep shadow to dominate the lower two-thirds of the frame. The final edge of the canyon wall glows with a thin line of pure white light against the black interior.
