Wind Farm Blades Parked at Dusk Along Dam

Deep twilight shadows swallow the lower half of massive wind turbine blades resting on a concrete service road beside a dam spillway. A sharp rim of cool blue light traces the curved leading edges of the white fiberglass structures, separating them from the encroaching darkness. Low ground fog pools in the depressions of the asphalt, rising just enough to obscure the tires of the transport trucks. The sheer size of the components dwarfs the surrounding infrastructure. Rust-colored bolts and weathered metal brackets catch the faint residual glow. One rivet on the blade tip reflects the fading sky.
