Pigeons Nesting in Crumbling Iraqi Bell Tower

Heat haze shimmers above the weathered brickwork of a decaying tower structure rising steeply from the dusty ground. Low evening sunlight casts long, warm shadows across the crumbling masonry, highlighting the rough texture of eroded stone and exposed mortar. Several pigeons perch within the open mechanism at the tower's apex, their feathers ruffled against the fading golden light.
