Orca Breaching Marseille Kelp Shelf

Sunlight fractures into shifting patterns of white and gold across the surface of exceptionally clear Mediterranean water. A massive orca arches its back, twisting mid-air above a kelp-fringed shelf near Marseille. The animal's wet black skin reflects the bright midday sky, against the pale gray underbelly that catches the light. Below the surface, the water remains a deep, tranquil blue, disturbed only by the animal's entry. Golden-green fronds of kelp sway gently in the slow-moving ripples at the water's edge. The creature's tail flukes hang suspended in the air, ready to strike the water and send a spray of droplets scattering into the air.
