Orange Stained Sluice Gate Slot on Kinshasa Overpass
Heavy gray clouds hang low over a wide overpass interchange near Kinshasa, diffusing bright midmorning light across weathered concrete surfaces. A vertical sluice gate slot cuts through the structure, its interior stained deep orange by rust that bleeds onto the surrounding gray stone. Rain streaks mark the pitted concrete, evidence of the rainy season.
