Rain Shaft Overpass in Connecticut Blue Hour

Cool blue twilight saturates the scene where a dense vertical column of rain descends beside a concrete overpass. Low marine fog pools heavily in the depressions of the roadside embankment, obscuring the ground while the elevated roadway remains visible against the darkening sky. The rain shaft creates a stark, textured curtain of grey against the deep indigo atmosphere, showing the separation between the wet infrastructure and the empty road surface. Mist rests on the steel guardrails, turning the metal a darker, slick shade of grey. One puddle on the asphalt reflects the faint, fading light from the horizon, showing the precise, heavy fall of the precipitation in the early winter air.
