Glowing Plankton in Dark Waves Near Fort Mumbai

Electric blue trails of bioluminescent plankton streak through dark shore waves rolling onto the wet sand before dawn. Moonlight falls through a thin veil of ground mist, softening the horizon where the Arabian Sea meets the night sky. The damp beach reflects scattered points of light from the churning surf. Ripples of white foam edge the shoreline, each crest studded with microscopic organisms that illuminate the water as it breaks. The wet season haze blurs the distant outline of Fort Mumbai against the dark sky. Small waves roll in with rhythmic motion, their surfaces glowing where the water churns. A cluster of glowing foam rests against a smooth stone at the water's edge.
