Concrete Canal Reeds Misty Havana Dawn Monsoon

Thick concrete walls of a cooling canal rise vertically, their gray surfaces roughened by years of water exposure and topped with a border of tall, green reeds. Mist rests on the air above the dark floodwater below the levee path, softening the edges of the structure. Heat shimmer ripples across sun-struck concrete patches, distorting the light slightly near the horizon. The scene is framed with the canal wall occupying the left third, while the reeds and water fill the right. Morning light diffuses through the monsoon haze, casting a cool, muted tone over the wet stone and vegetation. One shadow falls across the lower canal lip where the concrete meets the dark water.
