Deep shadows swallow the concrete channel carved beneath towering transmission structures in early summer Sicily. Pale morning light skims the water's surface, creating a thin, vibrating rim of gold along the reeds that line the canal's edge. The massive steel cables stretch across the frame, their dark forms contrasting sharply against the softening sky. Heat haze distorts the air above the transformers, blurring the rigid geometry of the metalwork into a shimmering ghost. Rough concrete textures dominate the foreground, worn smooth by time and water flow. One reed tip catches the light, its green blade glowing against the grey stone. The composition pulls attention along the straight, unyielding lines of the canal toward the distant horizon.
