Komodo Dragon Walking on Winter Beach at Dawn

Thick, textured scales of a massive lizard press against wet, gray sand under a heavy winter sky. The creature moves forward with deliberate slowness, its muscular limbs displacing shallow water that reflects the pale, overcast light. Sea haze blurs the horizon line where the ocean meets the sky, creating a soft boundary between earth and air. Moisture hangs from the air, visible in the way the light diffuses across the wet surfaces. The dragon's claws grip the shifting grains, leaving deep indentations in the sand. Its head is low, eyes scanning the ground. A drop of water slides from the tip of its snout to the wet sand below.
