Kangaroo at Dawn Beside Senegal Tidal Inlet

Pale gold light spills across a wet tidal flat where a kangaroo stands in profile against the rising sun. The animal’s coarse grey fur catches the first rays, highlighting the texture of its back and the curve of its spine. Mud cracks in the foreground reflect the sky’s softening blue, while the low angle emphasizes the creature’s height against the horizon. Sparse, dry grasses bend near the water’s edge, their straw color matching the parched earth of the dry season. The inlet’s surface shimmers with a thin layer of water, mirroring the clear morning sky. One ripple disturbs the mud at the kangaroo’s feet, marking the boundary between land and water.
