Ivy Over Broken Concrete Bus Shelter Maturin

Wet concrete slabs lie fractured along the curb, their gray surfaces cracked and stained with dark water. Thick green ivy climbs the broken edges, its leaves glistening under the damp air. Beside the rubble stands a metal bus shelter, its glass panels fogged with condensation from the humid evening. Distant town lights glow orange on the horizon, reflecting faintly on the slick pavement. Heat shimmer waves above the ground, distorting the view of the wet street. Rain has left puddles in the fissures of the broken road. One piece of rusted rebar juts from a shattered slab near the shelter's base.
