Iraqi Dam Spillway Water Flowing Blue Hour Twilight
Cool blue twilight washes the massive concrete spillway of an Iraqi dam, turning the rushing water into a frothy ribbon of white against the darkening gray masonry. Low-hanging clouds press down on the horizon, casting a soft, diffused light that erases sharp shadows and unifies the scene in cool tones. The converging lines of the concrete walls guide toward a distant vanishing point where the water disappears into the mist. Late autumn air is visible in the crisp clarity of the water spray and the heavy, slate-gray sky. The wet surfaces of the spillway reflect the dim sky, creating a seamless blend of stone and fluid. At the base of the wall, the churning water breaks into a chaotic field of foam that settles against the rough, stained concrete edge.
