Helmet Floating in Eddy Water at Dawn

Frost crystals coat the rim of a white safety helmet resting on the glassy surface of a slow-moving eddy. The water reflects the pale pink and orange hues of the first sunrise, breaking the dark blue of the mountain morning. Visible breath hovers just above the helmet's ventilation holes, condensing into a faint, white cloud before dissipating into the cold air. The helmet's textured plastic shows scuff marks and mud stains from the river journey. Behind the floating gear, the blurred edge of a raft and the dark, rocky bank of a Cordoba mountain path provide context. One droplet of water rests on the side of the helmet, trembling slightly before falling back into the still water.
