Honeyed evening light washes over the harbor quay near Albuquerque, casting the whitewater raft and floating helmet into deep silhouette. Raindrops from a passing summer shower create small ripples in the eddy water, distorting the dark shapes of the gear. The helmet bobs gently beside the raft, its smooth surface reflecting the wet sheen of the water. Low-angle framing emphasizes the scale of the raft against the sky, where scattered clouds catch the last glow of the sun. One raindrop slides down the curved edge of the helmet, catching the fading light before falling back into the dark water.
