Speedboat Wake on Andes Causeway at Dawn
A sweeping beam of artificial light cuts through the predawn darkness, illuminating a speedboat carving a white wake across the glassy surface of a high-altitude reservoir. The water reflects the vessel and the lighthouse beam with perfect symmetry, doubling the visual impact of the moving craft. Low-hanging dust particles glow within the light cone, creating a textured haze just above the dark causeway. The cold blue of the night contrasts with the warm, golden hue of the artificial illumination that defines the visible world. Ripples spread outward from the hull, breaking the mirror-like stillness of the lake. at the edge is the sharp, frothy edge of the wake meeting the dark, undisturbed water on either side.
